Living in the Joy of the Resurrection

Easter isn’t just a day — it’s the season we live in.

The world often treats Easter as a single morning celebration, but the Church knows Easter is far more than that. It is a season — and even more, it is the reality in which the baptized live every day. For fifty days, from the empty tomb to Pentecost, we rejoice in the truth that stands at the center of our faith: Jesus Christ truly rose from the dead.

This is not a metaphor or a spiritual idea. LCMS Lutherans confess a real, bodily resurrection. And because Christ is risen:

  • Death has lost its claim on us.
    • The grave is no longer our final word.
  • Our sins are forgiven.
    • The resurrection is the Father’s declaration that Christ’s sacrifice was accepted.
  • Our future is secure.
    • Christ’s victory is our victory, given to us in Baptism.

The resurrection shapes how we face suffering, how we view our bodies, and how we love our neighbors. We live as people who have already died and already risen with Christ. Even in grief, we grieve with hope. Even in weakness, we trust the One who has conquered death.

As we journey through this Easter season, let the joy of the risen Christ steady your heart and brighten your days. The tomb is empty. Christ is alive. And He is alive for you.

Alleluia! Christ is risen.

He is risen indeed. Alleluia.

Journey Through Holy Week

Holy Week is the heart of the Christian year—a sacred journey that invites us to walk with Jesus from celebration, through sacrifice, and into the joy of resurrection. As we move through these holy days together, we gather to hear God’s Word, receive His grace, and remember the depth of Christ’s love for the world.

We invite you, your family, and friends to join us as we observe Holy Week through worship, prayer, and reflection.

Palm Sunday — March 29 at 10:00 am

Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday, when we celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. With palms in hand and hymns of praise, we remember the crowds who welcomed Him as King—while also turning our hearts toward the path that leads to the cross.

Maundy Thursday — April 2 at 6:30 pm

On Maundy Thursday, we gather in reverence and humility to remember the night Jesus shared His final meal with His disciples. We hear His command to love one another and reflect on the gift of Holy Communion, given for our forgiveness and life.

Good Friday — April 3 at 6:30 pm

Good Friday draws us to the foot of the cross. In a quiet and solemn service, we remember Christ’s suffering and death, and we give thanks for the sacrifice made for our salvation. Though marked by sorrow, this service points us to the depth of God’s grace and mercy.

Easter Sunday — April 5 at 10:00 am

The journey culminates in joy on Easter Sunday as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord. Christ is risen! Death is defeated, hope is restored, and new life is proclaimed for all. Join us as we rejoice in the promise of resurrection and life everlasting.

Join us as we walk this sacred path together—remembering, reflecting, and rejoicing in the saving work of Jesus Christ. Whether you have been part of our church for years or are joining us for the first time, you are warmly welcomed to worship with us throughout Holy Week and Easter.
